Problems with ATI Raden 4550 dirver

   I have let Fedora install the packages it wants and I have added the
   mesa-dri-drivers-experimental package.
   I still cannot get and flashy graphics to work, KDM now flashes a rainbow
   when it starts.
   I am sure I have missed something but not sure what.  I do not want to
   install the ATI drivers but stay with the Open source ones.
   OpenGL also does not want to work.
   I have a x68_64 bit machine with all the latest patches running KDE.
