No, appointed members are appointed by the single Mindshare teams. They don't need elections, but are representatives chosen by the teams. Normally these kind of decisions can be easily done during a meeting, but for ambassadors it might need a more detailled process. However, it is up to the single teams how they want to appoint their representatives.

Elected members have to follow the election process and need to be nominated, have to answer the questions in the questionnaire and then go through the election machine. They are elected by the community.
