Hello there,
In search to make deployment of "electronic" EDA tools easier. Is it possible for me to create a new category "Electronics" in comps.xml (F-11)?
Currently, most of the FEL apps are scattered around in other categories and making it hard for users to identify those tools. "Astronomy" already has such a category.
Thereby, I wish that with a category "Electronics" in comps.xml, users can easily identify the electronic specific rpms on kpackageki.
If there is a special procedure for me to follow in order to get it done, please let me know.
Kind regards, Chitlesh

Please list the existing packages which should be included in an Electronics category.
Also, 'Electronics' seems vague ... 'Electronic Design'? 'EDA'?

"Electronic Design" is nice!
EDA is "Electronic Design Automation" the last word there was added in the days when it was mostly not automated, i.e. when electronics was drawn on vellum paper. So let's conclude we don't do that much anymore.

I haven't yet updated the somps.xml since I'm waiting for more feedbacks.
I prefer "EDA". however "EDA" on kpackagekit will confuse people how are not familiar with the abbreviation EDA. Thereby Electronic Design can be easily understood by both non-electronic friendly and electronic amateurs.
Any other suggestions ?

Just that I wouldn't have guesses Electronics anything from the abbreviation EDA
Do individual comps groups have descriptions by the way?

gtkwave can be added to that list.
