Hi All,
I get an error when installing nginx on CentOS 6.4.
My actions:
rpm -Uvh http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm yum install nginx
Error message: GeoIP-1.4.8-1.el6.x86_64: failure: GeoIP-1.4.8-1.el6.x86_64.rpm from epel: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
How to do fix this?
Thanks Ilya

Looks like you're accessing a very out of date mirror. Current version of GeoIP in EPEL 6 is 1.5.1, and has been for a few months now.
Paul.
How can I update date mirror?
Ilya

The first step is to find out which mirror that you server is using so that we know which EPEL mirror is out of date. Try enabling debug options in yum:
URLGRABBER_DEBUG=1,debug.log yum install nginx
You can read the debug.log file and figure out which EPEL mirror was used.
You can then manually exclude this mirror in /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/fastestmirror.conf. Open up that file and set the exclude variable to the URL you wish to avoid.
exclude = mymirror.example.com
Please let us know which mirror is far behind as well, so we can investigate. If it's a big problem, we could possibly pull them from Fedora's MirrorManager.

Before starting the installation, I see only this link - https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-6&arch=x86_64. I do not think it will help.
I removed epel-release-6-8.noarch and saw next error: Could not get metalink https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-6&arch=x86_64 error was 14: problem making ssl connection
I replaced https on http in /etc/yum.repos.d/epel.repo. It helped.
