diffenent inkscape theme when running from konsole or krunner
by Lukas Middendorf
Hi,
I noticed that Inkscape seems to use two different themes when I start
it from krunner (or from the application menu) or when I start it from
konsole (or from dolphin with an svg file).
When started from krunner the icons have slightly more space in between
and most importantly the background of tool tips is dark with white
text, while when started from konsole the tool tips have light gray
background (with the then unreadable text having the same color).
Anybody knows what is causing the difference, and how I can always get
the non-broken theme with readable tool tips? This seems to be new with F25.
Best,
Lukas

Errors while upgrading from F24 to F25
by Mattia Verga
There are some problems with kde related packages in upgrading from F24
to F25:
package libkface-15.08.3-3.fc24.x86_64 requires
libopencv_calib3d.so.2.4()(64bit), but none of the providers can be
installed.
package qt5-qtwebengine-5.6.1-3.fc24.x86_64 requires
libicuuc.so.56()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed.
package qt5-qtwebengine-5.6.1-3.fc24.x86_64 requires qt5-qtbase(x86-64)
= 5.6.1, but none of the providers can be installed.
package qt5-qtbase-5.6.1-3.fc24.x86_64 requires qt5-qtbase-common =
5.6.1-3.fc24, but none of the providers can be installed.
package qt5-qtwebengine-5.6.1-3.fc24.x86_64 requires qt5-qtbase(x86-64)
= 5.6.1, but none of the providers can be installed
I see that libkface has been retired, but looking at the error I think
no other package is set to deprecate/replace it.
About qt5-qtbase, it seems that it didn't land in F25 repos:

how to get rid of powerdevil with 5.8
by Reindl Harald
is there some sane way to override
"/etc/xdg/autostart/powerdevil.desktop" like "systemctl mask" - looks
like something is overriding my autostart-item or it#s ignored like
"ssh-add"
frankly keep your fingers from my display and other powersettings
[root@srv-rhsoft:~]$ cat /home/harry/.config/autostart-scripts/display-on.sh
#!/usr/bin/bash
xset -dpms
xset s off

okular5 and kile beta
by Enrique Artal
Dear members of the list:
First, I would like to thank people making possible to use kde in Fedora. I found this unofficial repo http://compsci.cas.vanderbilt.edu/Fedora/local/ with rpm and srpm packages of okular5 and the new (beta) version of kile. Are there any plans to have these packages in Fedora? Live Preview is a very nice feature. Best, Enrique.

override /etc/xdg/autostart
by Reindl Harald
is there a way to override stuff in /etc/xdg/autostart?
until recent upgrades "powerdevil" was a soft dependency and was not
pulled but besides that one item - it's a crap that packages install
stuff in /etc
systemd makes this way smarter by haveing the same folder-structure
below /usr and /etc so that you can just place a symlink to /dev/null in
/etc and don't have to worry about package updates
