Hola!
Monday, 2019-02-25 will be Fedora 30 Gnome 3.32 Test Day!
As part of this planned Change for Fedora 30, So this is an important Test Day! As we approach the beta dates, we try to make sure that all the gnome features are performing as they should and then file bugs well ahead of time.
We need to ensure it's working well enough and catch any remaining issues. It's also pretty easy to join in: all you'll need is Test Day image (which you can grab from the wiki page[0]).
As always, the event will be in #fedora-test-day on Freenode IRC.

Hey,
I think we already have the working branched f30 with relevant gnome packages for the test day Check the whole list of gnome packages here https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/issue/576#comment-555587

Hi everyone,
I read that February 25 is scheduled the fedora test 30. as I will be in the office I will be unable to participate during the day, but in the meantime I have prepared a virtual machine with gnome boxes in which or installed the latest release of fedora 30. I point out that I detected post-installation during reboot a problem on RNG: Entropy Gatherer Daemon. the service waited 1.30 minutes before closing. after updating the system, the problem is no longer presented, despite having rebooted and turned off the virtual machine several times. I found a second problem that continues to occur on the setting of the volume in gnome, because at startup does not store the setting previously given by the user and indeed the volume tends to go to the maximum in an automatic way. kind regards
Alessandro

Testing of F30 Workstation pre-Beta 0222 drop:
ISO file could not checked for integrity because the CHECKSUM file was not in: https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/branched/Fedora-30-20190222.n.0/c...
The ISO was burned to a DVD and used to boot the test PC (Lenovo M58p with E8400 processor) for bare metal install. The Media check that normally runs before Anaconda starts did not run, but Anaconda started and ran normally to completion with no problems or errors found.
Note able results:
dbus-daemon no longer appears on the systemctl --all --failed list. In fact there were no failures listed
tracker-miner crashes were not observed as with prior drops.
The Gnome Settings still crashes permanently when the Details tab is clicked. This seems serious, but I haven't nominated it as a blocker because of my lack of experience here. I'll leave it to others to decide. The Bug is #1680319.
The following non-blocker bugs apply 1562418, 1648943, and 1654802. They have been updated to show F30.
Have a Great Day!

From the openQA videos, the 'test this media & start' boot menu entry does still seem to be the default, so presumably the implementation of the check itself is broken. That's definitely a problem, we should look into it if confirmed - have you filed a bug? Thanks!

Yes, this was expected to be fixed in this compose.

There's definitely something badly busted about it ATM, it seems. For me it's still crashing on startup, but I haven't updated to the latest compose yet. Other related bugs look to be:

My guess would be that the compose didn't finish and the checksums are generated at the end of the compose where it never got to.

This is right, it is a doomed compose and pungi quit before generating the checksums.

Oh, yes, you're right, I missed that - it's one of the DOOMED composes, Patrick was just pulling out images that completed before it died.

There was a successful Branched 20190224.n.0 compose, so that fix is in the Branched repos now. g-c-c does seem to work for me. Patrick, can you see how it is for you now? Thanks!
Should I use the exact same image as specified in the page or it doesn't matter to use Fedora-30-20190223.n.0 which it existed lately?
Hi everyone,
I was using fedora 30 on a virtual machine and found another error: I entered the gnome settings and while I was going into the details tab, it closed unexpectedly and no longer started. Even if you switch off and restart the system, I can no longer enter the settings as the window no longer opens. moreover, when I turn off I noticed that the PackageKit daemon is hanging for 1.30 minutes before closing.
I hope that my reports are also found by other users, I hope they can be, albeit modest, a valuable contribution.
I'm listening and I thank you for being on this list

Hey All,
This is to bring to notice that we haven't had a proper compose and this test day is now no longer happening Tomorrow (2019-02-25). The current status can be tracked on https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/issue/576. I will be posting and updating the deatils when the compose happens. Most likely, Wednesday (2019-02-27) is most likely the new date.

Hey All,
As you might know, the Gnome Test Day is underway. I see a lot of you are testing and you guys post the test results on http://testdays.fedorainfracloud.org/events/59. You can add the bugs in the comments, it's easier to record and generate a report.
As always #fedora-test-days over Freenode is open for discussion. :)
