I notice that:
sudo dnf group upgrade --with-optional Multimedia
produces the error:
No match for group package "gimp-heif-plugin"
Seems like "gimp-heif-plugin" no longer exists in the repos. Is this a bug in the spec file for the Multimedia group?

This is not defined in Fedora's multimedia comps group. It's probably coming from some other repository's comps definition.

Well if it's not a Fedora group, it would have to be RPM Fusion.
It's reproducible on multiple machines, in fact, all mine that I have so far tested, native and virtual, on Fedora 38, 39 and Rawhide 40.

Please file a bug with them about it so they can fix it, then.

And that's where it is: <group> <id>multimedia</id> <name>Multimedia</name> <description>Audio/video framework common to desktops</description> <default>false</default> <uservisible>false</uservisible> <packagelist> <packagereq>gstreamer1-plugins-bad-freeworld</packagereq> <packagereq>gstreamer1-plugins-ugly</packagereq> <packagereq>ffmpeg</packagereq> <packagereq type="conditional" requires="chromium">ffmpeg-libs</packagereq> <packagereq type="conditional" requires="firefox">ffmpeg-libs</packagereq> <packagereq type="conditional" requires="gimp">gimp-heif-plugin</packagereq> <packagereq type="conditional" requires="libavcodec-free">libavcodec-freeworld</packagereq> <packagereq type="conditional" requires="libheif">libheif-freeworld</packagereq> <packagereq type="conditional" requires="pipewire">pipewire-codec-aptx</packagereq> <packagereq type="conditional" requires="qt5-qtwebengine">qt5-qtwebengine-freeworld</packagereq> </packagelist> </group>
But that's not a Fedora issue. File a bug with rpmfusion.

Thanks, I'll do that, but apologies for the stupid question, but what package can I file the bug against? Multimedia is a group not a package right? Or would a post on their devs list be ok?

Infrastructure->repo would probably be the right place.

There are other issues there too, like the "ffmpeg-libs" stanza there, as that conflicts with baseline Fedora.
