in koji you can find new kernel versions (that are not pushed in
the
updates yet) http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=8
i'm gonna try:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=17111
you need a fixed mkinitrd, the kernel is fine.
mkinitrd-6.0.12-3.fc8 is still broken (i686 and x86_64)
Confirming what davej suggested, mkinitrd-6.0.13-1.fc8 works fine for me.
It should be in rawhide Real Soon Now, or you can get it straight from koji: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/mkinitrd/6.0.13/1.fc8/
-w
Does NOT work here...x86 machine with LVM over software raid....
I had the same issues with .142 and .149 until I got the latest mkinitrd rpm via yum and reran mkinitrd to re-create the img file in /boot/. Things are now working as before (lvm, etc).

Up to date with all, but it didn't help:
[root@P4C800ED ~]# rpm -q mkinitrd nash mkinitrd-6.0.13-1.fc8 nash-6.0.13-1.fc8
