These are just a few of the errors that I saw at the end (couldn't scroll back far enough to get them all)......

Does rpm --rebuilddb help ?
Glad you mentioned this, because I had forgotten to mention that when I tried installing that kernel the first time, towards the end of the install we had a power outtage. So that may have messed up the db, as after rebuilding it, it worked this time.
