This seems to be happening only on a system running nouveau driver (updated F19).
$ glxinfo | grep -i opengl
OpenGL vendor string: nouveau
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on NV44
OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 9.2.0
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.20

Have another installation of updated F19, with intel drivers, and no such issue is happening there!
$ glxinfo | grep -i opengl
OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) 945GM
OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 9.2.0
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.20
