Anyone successfully moved their existing .claws-mail for the 3.5.0 version in fedora 8 to the 3.6.0 claws-mail in fedora 10?
I was just trying it, and some things sorta kinda work a little bit, but it seems mostly screwed up and old mail messages aren't there when I try to look at them.
Am I gonna have to export all my mailboxes to mbox files, then rebuild my accounts from scratch and import them into new claws mail?

For starters, I don't think skipping releases is a great idea, and then, probably backing up your mbox and then doing a clean install would have been way better.

Oh it can still be done. This was just an experiment I tried with a copy of my home directory to see if it would work. I was hoping someone might know something minor that could be fixed so I don't need to start from scratch.
Actually, if I'm gonna start from scratch, I may see how hard it is to setup dovecot and use it to keep all my mail so I can switch clients at will (but then the new release of dovecot will probably be incompatible in fedora 11 :-).
With my new Computer, the video card is an new ATI product that supports HD (3870).
With no XORG.CONF in F10, I cannot set a resolution in the 1100 by 8xx that allows me to see the screen full width. I need to have a horiz rate of 70. The only option provided is 75.
However, UBUNTU, my backup, on the same computer has an XORG file that works.
My question is, Can I create a /etc/X11/xorg.conf in F10, that will be referenced? Can I use the one that was created for UBUNTU?

If you create an Xorg.conf file the X server reads it.
But remember to file a bug report. If it does not get reported it does not get fixed..
You can expect results since this is on Superhero Airlied radar...
Maybe not to day, maybe not tomorrow but he eventually will zap the bug..

Btw
Remember to attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log to the bug report..
If you want to provide them with more info you can starts the X server with "startx -- -logverbose 6"

Ps. Does any one know of a good theme band for the X Super Heroes...

The one created for UBUNTU should (will?) work. i.e. X is X

I believe system-config-display is still available for you to use to create a xorg.conf file. The new config-less X server works pretty well for a lot of people but not everyone. Someone in my LUG with a very odd-resolution laptop had the same problem. We ran system-config-display, and then customized the "Screen" section to include a Modes line with his resolution, and restarted X -- voila.

Login to level 3, when booting press a to append and enter a 3, then
as root $ su - passwd: # Xorg -configure will create a file xorg.conf.new test it with commands shown. then press CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE if you like it or it works, # cp xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and then type startx and/or restart.

In the process of doing the install from DVD with update NOW, a few languages have disappeared from the F10Beta and also what was included in F9. French, Russian and Spanish are not selectable for additional langauges for which we are fluent.

I was used to the beta, now have the dvd version installed. Langauges were missing from current version.
