Hi list I use F10 on a DELL D630. I have installed F10 a first and then all goes right. Next, I have re installed it and this time, I have a problem with the sound card. I could not hear sound nor in kde neither in gnome. the sound card seems to be a intel STAC 92xx. I have tried different configurations with gnome and kde configuration tools but with no success. Could you help please. regards
i have f10 on a dell d620 (Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G). sound was working fine in both the speakers and headphone jack, but when i updated to 2.6.27.9-159 kernel, i lost sound in my headphone jack. reverting to kernel 2.6.27.7-134 fixes the headphone jack. i use gnome.

Known issue. [1] Latest kernel update 9-159 included a broken alsa update that more-or-less killed sound for many people. (self included x 2) Until this issue is resolved, I'd suggest you switch to the previous kernel. (7-134).
