Hi, guys. As requested of me at the last group meeting, this mail is to summarize where we are on the topic of moving the Bugzappers group meeting.
The matrix is:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bugzappers_meeting_matrix
from that, it seems that the most people who have declared are available on Tuesday at 17:00 UTC. That gets us:
Adam Williamson Jerry Amundson Iarly Selbir John5342 John Poelstra dash123 Jessica Sterling
the only person who has filled out the matrix but would not be available at that time is Edward (tk009).
Currently the meeting time is Tuesday at 15:00 UTC. So our choice is keep it there or move to 17:00, given the current data.
Does anyone who hasn't filled in the matrix have something to contribute at this point? Overall do people feel we should move to 17:00 or leave at 15:00?

That time works for me, and if everyone is agreement we should move the meeting time. What are we going to do about meeting#1 already being reserved for that time? Hold them in meeting#2? Gang fight the Fedora Package Committee for the time slot? I think we can take them!

I think we can take them too.
Shovels and pitchforks at the ready. Take no prisoners. Ready...... Attack!!! :-)
On a more serious note. Is this going to be shifted for tomorrow, moved another week or put up as topic for vote in meeting? (probably the latter makes more sense)

To little time left to change the time for this weeks meeting. Meeting vote sounds fine to me, and if I can't make it to the meeting, my vote is yes for Tuesday's @ 1700UTC. I think it's fair to say everyone that put their name in the matrix for that day and time says yes as well. That being the case, couldn't we just say starting 30 March 2009 BugZappers meetings will be held at 1700UTC, channel TBA. Anyone that disagrees will have a whole week to let someone know before the change takes effect.

We still have to solve the IRC conflict issue. I'm up for just meeting in the second meeting room. I don't think logging will be a problem, there's usually at least two people logging each meeting.

I think the minor issue was the people are already in meeting#1 and can keep tabs on the meetings. They will just have to connect to both meeting channels.
About the change
Getting people to speak up isn't easy at times. I know there have been two or three requests for our fellow zappers to give their thoughts on the meeting schedule changes. Beyond the meeting matrix no one has really spoken up.
John5342 is correct, the vote ideally should be done in the meeting to confirm this change. I do however wonder if we will have the meeting attendance numbers to have this vote any time soon. By my count 7 zappers have already voted for Tuesday's@1700UTC.
So are we moving forward? Asking for a vote here on the list? Or giving the vote in meeting another try? My feeling is the majority have spoken and we move forward. Anyone that disagrees need only respond to this email stating such.

I think the safest way is we ask everybody to reply to this specific thread (that way we dont get any +1/-1 lost) then have a vote in next meeting and include the votes from a specific thread. That will get the best of both worlds having both mailing list responses and meeting. In my opinion though we normally do get enough people in a meeting to make a pretty decent decision.
Of course before we do any final voting we really ought to decide exactly what we are voting for in the first place such as where we have the meeting (#fedora-bugzappers, #fedora-meeting2 or #fedora-meeting after sorting something out with existing conflicts)

I think we should continue to use the main meeting channel. We need to continue our presence, small as it might be, in front of the larger existing audience (~150 people on #fedora-meeting) not go to a channel that most people don't come to.

I am sorry, I thought that this table will be prefilled with the old table (I know for sure, that I have filled this table somewhere). I am really sorry, but anything after 15:00 UTC (18:00 CEST) means that I cannot attend.
I have re-filled the table again this time.

Uh, 15:00 UTC is 17:00 CEST (or 16:00 CET in the winter).
18:00 CEST is 16:00 UTC.
(But FYI, the Tuesday 16:00 UTC slot is already taken on #fedora-meeting, it's the KDE SIG meeting time.)
