I can atleast confirm on my x86_64 box that this kernel does boot, and kernels 1624/26/27 did not.
Thanks,

Any x86_64 xen kernels down the road?

that's not in the plans currently. This kernel is just there as a minimal effort so that the installer folks can work on their part of xen work. They are by no means intended for other things, and might not be usable either....
Is x86-64 support (which, AFAIK, is a part of Xen 3.0) is planned for FC5 release?

I hope so, here is the unstable snapshot for x86_64 from xen.

avahi-0.5.2-2
After updating rawhide and rebooting my Laptop the avahi-daemon failed to start. The entry in /var/log/messages was:
Oct 28 07:41:29 traveller avahi-daemon[1957]: dbus_bus_get(): Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory
But the file system_bus_socket is there after startup and a new restart of the avahi daemon succeeds. Could this be the problem of the order in which some daemons are started, especially the avahi-daemon?
