Greetings.
My attempts to upgrade landed me in Rawhide instead of Branched.
I know I've been successful in the past with these types of upgrades, but I don't recall how I did it, and Googling hasn't given me the answer.
TIA
Scott

My last one, on a Core2Duo, did too, but I caught it right away and fixed the repo configs with dnf config-manager IIRC followed by simply dnf upgrade --releasever=38 --skip-broken. There was one new package that makes kernel locking more complicated.

Can you elaborate on what you did?
Thanks.

Not with any more detail than contained in the relevant period in .bash_history. A *lot* has transpired in the mean time.

Thanks,
I just now did a fresh install of the latest branched version, and the repos are still pointing to rawhide.
I'm gonna let it go for now. None of this is on a production machine, anyway.

I just did a system-upgrade to 38 branch on another PC. When it was all over, I tried dnf makecache followed by dnf upgrade. The proposal was to upgrade 6 fedora* packages to 39-0.1 versions. For now I've simply added fedora-re*39* to exclude= in dnf.conf.

Yeah, sounds like we've got a bug.

Well, it's not so much a bug as we haven't been able to do a second Branched compose. The first one didn't get the updated fedora-release and fedora-repos; the second one should, but we haven't been able to do a compose for days because of the s390x outage holding up builds that we needed to get a compose done.
We should hopefully be able to get a compose through by end of today. In the meantime you can just update to the latest fedora-release and fedora-repos packages from Koji if you like.

Yep. It's all good now. Thanks.
