It seems like the issues with mice and KVM switch boxes has gotten worse under FC3.
Under FC2 the mouse would get confused when switching between different machines and I would have to "ctrl-alt-f1" and then "ctrl-alt-f7" to reset the mouse back to a useable state.
Now under FC3, this "workaround" no longer compensates for the issue. To get the mouse back, I have to disconnect the mouse(physically) and reconnect it. Does this sound like something that has already been reported?

Several bugs relating to mouse behavior have been reported. Enlightening comments in this bug report: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=132471

Actually, my KVM mouse has improved under FC3. I no longer need psmouse.proto=imps in grub. One thing, I always make sure that I keep the KVM switched to the FC3 machine when it is booting.
Indeed, keeping the KVM set to the booting machine has always been a must. However, the mouse is breaking between machines that are already booted.

FWIW here are the pertinent parts of my xorg.conf:
# Xorg configuration created by system-config-display
Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "single head configuration" Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0 InputDevice "Mouse0" "CorePointer" InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard" EndSection
...
Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Mouse0" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes" EndSection
BTW, I have PS/2 style mouse, not USB.

My settings are identical. However, I am using a USB mouse(MS Intellimouse Optical) with a PS2 adapter on a belkin KVM. Shouldn't be an issue, but is this something too weird?
I have almost the exact same setup: Logitech USB mouse with PS/2 convertor with a Belkin OmniCube 2-port KVM. It's not all the time that I see the mouse go away completely, but I have seen it since installing FC3. Is there a pertinent bugzilla entry I should attach comments to?
Thanks,

I think https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=132471 is the one Jeff said reports this issue.

A few months back there was a msg on fedora-list about the PS2 adapter contributing to the KVM problem. That caused me to get an out-of-the- box PS2 mouse. The problems did persist and I had to add psmouse.proto=bare to grub. Then when I installed FC3T1 I was able to remove the psmouse.proto and all was well. Good luck.

I will try a standard PS2 mouse and see if it works.
I replaced my USB optical mouse that was connected via a USB/PS2 adapter with a standard PS2 mouse today. When I switched between different machines, the mouse did not lose sync any longer.
What should I do at this point? Chuck the PS2 adapter?
