Not sure I can do that with a spin live DVD image. When I try to edit the boot initiation code by typing "e" I see:
getparams 'Start Fedora-MATE-Compiz-Live 29'
linuxfi /images/pxeboot
root=live:CDLABEL=Fedora-MATE-Live-29-1-2 read.live.img initdefi /images/pxeboot/initrd.img
I don't see where grub-style editing is supported on a live DVD image.
At the initial boot screen go to "Troubleshooting" and then you'll have the option to start the Live Image in Basic Graphics mode.

All,
I think I should mention that the reason I'm using a live DVD rather than the Workstation installation DVD is that I haven't yet worked out how to do a complete backup of the pre-installed Windows that I can restore to a virtual machine under F29.
Anyone who can suggest a cross-platform backup that will grab & restore EVERYTHING from the factory image, please do. Thanks
