First of all, this is such a great news for all Fedorans :)
Nevetheless, with all due respect, may I know why only certain
countries are eliigible for this offer? Due to the fact that my
country is not listed, I must say I'm little bit disappointed.

gnumeric - missing dependency on Fedora 7
by Frank Cox
There appears to be a missing dependency on Fedora 7 gnumeric.
After updating from FC6 to Fedora 7, gnumeric no longer works, with "error
while loading shared libraries: libgsf-gnome-1.so.114: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory"
Installing libgsf-gnome solves the problem.

Upgrade crash in upgrade_bootloader_gui.py
by Anduin Withers
I'll submit a ticket when I can (currently bugzilla claims "The product name
'' is invalid or does not exist.").
If you are doing an upgrade and it fails because of an exception in
upgrade_bootloader_gui.py line 78, delete/comment all the blank lines in
your /etc/modprobe.conf file.
The code looks like this:
for l in lines:
if l.strip()[0] = '#':
continue
blah
This fails miserably when a blank line is encountered.

dual boot laptop
by John
Odd question; the hard drive in the laptop took a crap and installed a
60gb drive, which was more that I'd really in the thing. Ta da! Dual
boot to the rescue. I installed Win on one partition and Suse on the
other (I have FC6 on a 20, so no hoot and hollers). Does FC6 or F7 have
something similar to Grub?

Display problem on IBM A21p
by frank wang
I have burned a livecd of fedora 7 and the cd works fine with my new
desktop. However, when I try to run the livecd on my IBM A21p thinkpad
with 512MB RAM. The display is screwed up. It has two displays, each
takes about half screen. I have the same problem with ubuntu 7.0.
Since I hope fedora 7 will fix this problem and I wait until the
release of fedaora. The display card is ATI mobility 128.
Could anyone tell me how can I fix this problem? Without the display,
I could not install fedora on this computer.
Thanks

Multiple applications won't start since last FC 6.93 update and F7 upgrade
by Langdon Stevenson
Just prior to the release of F7 a large number of packages of me FC 6.93
system were updated by the Fedora update manager (about 124 packages in
all).
Since then a number of application including Gnome Terminal and
Rhythmbox have stopped working. These applications will not start when
chosen from the applications menu. Typically Bug Buddy pops up instead.
Since the F7 update Open Office no-longer works either. It trys to
start, then just vanishes.
These are all packages that I have installed using the Package Manager
and they ran fine before the two updates
Does anyone have any suggestions about how I should proceed trying to
debug this problem? I am relatively new to Linux on the desktop and am
finding this hard going.

Langdon
