Given this, I'd like to advocate again for two main tracks with shorter
talks -- aim for 20 minutes plus 10 for questions.
And I'd like to see at least one day with _just_ those talks with no
workshops. This day can focus on the top-interest talks where we don't want
anyone to miss out by being pulled in a different direction.
+1.
I feel like one of the big problems we have as a project is not
enough
cross-communication, and it's nice to have as many people sharing the common
experience as possible. I know that not everyone is interested in every
topic, but that's the other benefit of having them be shorter than typical
-- just wait, and something else will come around, and maybe you'll find it
to be more interesting than you expected.
I'm member of Akademy team this year and we tried to solve the same issue,
to make Akademy cross-communication event, not a standard conference. The aim
for Flock last year was more do a big standard conference and communication
was put a bit to the back stages.
