It's great that you would like to contribute towards neuro-imaging
and data analysis.
It would be great if you could come around our messaging channels [1]
and we can discuss more about it there if you prefer those over email
threads.

Error while compiling mod file
by Mohácsi Máté
Dear Developers and Users!
I had some problem on Fedora 32 Comp Neuro Lab compiling NEURON mod files, using 'nrnivmodl'.
Error message is the follwing:
'/bin/sh: /usr/share/nrn/libtool: No such file or directory'
However on my ubuntu the same method with the same project worked.
Does anyone encountered the same problem?
Thanks and Regards,
Máté

CompNeuro Lab abstract accepted at CNS*2020
by Ankur Sinha
Hello everyone,
Just a quick FYI!
Our abstract on CompNeuroFedora was accepted at CNS*2020[1].
Once we know if its a poster or an oral presentation, we'll begin
working on it.
I tweeted about this from our Twitter account just now:
https://twitter.com/NeuroFedora/status/1266304727739887618?s=20
Thanks for all your work everyone! We'll make sure we keep submitting to
conferences to keep the research community up to date with our progress.
As a general policy, everyone that contributes in any way at all since
the previous publication will be added as a co-author to the
submissions.
I've also been contacted by a few of the developers for various tools
asking how they could get their software into NeuroFedora, so we must be
doing something right :)

Dear NeuroFedora:
Hope this email finds you well. My name is Audrey (Zhuohan) Jiang, and I am
a Neuroscience recent grad from Smith College, MA. I saw your message on
NeuroStars and am interested in being a trainee for the project in
Neuro-imaging and data analysis in Neuroscience. I had the experience last
summer working on a Nipype project, and through that experience, I gained
some knowledge in neuroimaging data analysis.
Attached is my CV for your reference. I would like to talk more about this
project at your convenience through email or Zoom. Thank you for your
consideration! Looking forward to hearing back from you!
Best Regards,
Audrey

[Fwd] Re-Launching the Java SIG
by Ankur Sinha
For folks looking to learn more Java, this is an excellent opportunity.

External Email - Use Caution
Dear member of MNE,
The OHBM Open Science Special Interest Group (OS-SIG)
<https://zimbra.inria.fr/ossig.netlify.com/> would like to share two
exciting announcements!
1.
Our call is now open for talks, demos, and discussions in this year's
virtual Open Science Room (OSR). Submit your idea now!
<https://ohbm.github.io/osr2020/submit/>
2.
We are providing 20 mini-grants worth 100 USD each to help OSR speakers
set up for online conferencing. Apply via the link above.
The first deadline for submission is 15 May 2020, after which initial talk
recordings will start. The second and last deadline is on 15 June. For more
information, please visit the OSR website <https://ohbm.github.io/osr2020/>
and our FAQ <https://ohbm.github.io/osr2020/faq/>.
What happens in the OSR?
The OSR is the place for OHBM meeting attendees to discuss open research
practices, learn from each other, collaborate, and to foster and grow an
open and inclusive community. This year, presentations and discussions will
focus on three main themes <https://ohbm.github.io/osr2020/themes/>:
1.
Open Workflows
2.
Open Data 2.0
3.
The Past, Present and Future of Open Neuroimaging
We will have keynotes, lightning talks and demos
<https://ohbm.github.io/osr2020/formats/>, all related to the OSR themes,
while emergent sessions can be scheduled for impromptu discussions.
Can you contribute?
We would also love for the community to be involved in building an
unforgettable OSR experience. Please find more information about
contributor roles and sign up here
<https://ohbm.github.io/osr2020/contribute/>!
We thank Openneuro <https://openneuro.org/>, INCF <https://www.incf.org/>,
CNeuroMod <https://www.cneuromod.ca/>, The Ludmer <http://ludmercentre.ca/>
and CONP <https://conp.ca/>, for their generous contributions in support of
the OS-SIG
If you have any questions, please reach out to us at ohbm.osr(a)gmail.com and
follow @OHBMopen <https://twitter.com/ohbmopen> on Twitter or visit the OSR
website <https://ohbm.github.io/osr2020/> for updates.
Kind regards,
Camille Maumet, Cassandra Gould van Praag and Stephan Heunis, on behalf of
the OS-SIG
